To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

Since it can be hard to find upgrades for your favorite character that are actually used for them (I'm an archer that always finds axe hafts...my luck)... It would be neat if when I upgrade my icy bow string to an fire string, if there was a chance I could get back the old upgrade. Same for grips, and such. I like the bows strings, and grips I have, and I'd like to get some old ones back when I upgrade so I could move them to a different bow or give them to follow archers (or sell them). Perhaps a random chance that's similar to getting runes back off old armor? Would also be useful for upgrading your rune from Major to Superior on your cloths (having a chance to get the other back rather then 100% failure when you acknowlege there is already an upgrade item on that piece of clothing) CodeMonkey
